The truth that beneath every wound, every trauma, and every story we carry, there exists a whole, unbreakable self — a core essence that can never be destroyed, no matter the circumstances.
The heart of Unfragile Farm beats with the belief that all of us are born whole with everything we need inside to grow and develop into the best thriving version of ourselves. We recognize that a person’s life experiences may cloud over their essential wholeness, and we also know that no-one is disposable, no-one is beyond repair, and individual and collective healing are always possible. Our vision is rooted in these key pillars:
Our mission: To create space and opportunity for people to heal mind, body, and soul, reconnect to their authentic self, build community with each other, and restore the land that holds us all.
Unfragile Farm is a revolution in healing. The farm offers a diverse range of transformative experiences—from intimate farm-to-table dinners where guests gather to share nourishing food and engage in immersive, meaningful conversations, to restorative farm stays that provide a sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation. A foundational program is Compassionate Self-Archeology Healing Intensives, guiding participants on a profound journey of self-discovery, trauma resolution, and personal transformation—all within the embrace of nature’s beauty and the farm’s healing ethos.
Unfragile Farm is open to all people seeking deep healing, connection, and transformation. And in deep respect for Co-Founder Alphonso James and his 32-year journey through wrongful incarceration, we hold a special commitment to serving the innocent, freed, and exonerated people and their families. Here, those who have been wrongfully incarcerated will find not just support, but a path to healing and belonging.
Through the Journey Within Program, we offer restorative services and farm sabbaticals that provide the space, care, and community needed to heal and rebuild lives after wrongful conviction.
The farm also serves as a vibrant hub for conferences and workshops that inspire change, deepen understanding, and foster connection—bringing together people who are ready to heal themselves, each other, and the earth we all depend on.
Each bringing decades of experience, passion, and unique perspectives to the program’s mission
Co-Founder and visionary, brings the soul of the farm to life through the power of lived experience. Wrongfully incarcerated for 32 years, Alphonso emerged not only unbroken but profoundly transformed. His path of healing, forgiveness, and spiritual growth has become a beacon for others. Alphonso embodies the truth that although we may be victimized, we do not have to become victims to our circumstances. His public speaking, storytelling, and leadership inspire people to break free—not just from physical prisons, but from the emotional and psychological cages that hold us back. His life is living testimony to what it means to be Unfragile.
Co-Founder and integrative strategist, complements Alphonso’s vision with decades of experience developing healing-centered approaches to trauma. As the founder of the nationally recognized Alma Center and the creator of Compassionate Self-Archeology, Terri has spent her career helping people unearth the truth of who they are beneath layers of pain and survival. Her work is grounded in compassion, rigorous inquiry, and an unshakable belief in human transformation. At Unfragile Farm, Terri is shaping the farm’s programming with the same wisdom and care she brought to national systems change—connecting evidence-informed trauma healing with real-life practices that help people find wholeness.
As Director of Operations, Brad brings over two decades of leadership experience in large corporate environments, where he specialized in driving culture, leading change, and building systems that foster agility and growth. Now the founder of a digital marketing agency, he combines strategic thinking with a deep sense of purpose at Unfragile Farm. Brad oversees key operations—including the aquaponics greenhouse, guest facilities, and land stewardship—ensuring that every aspect of the farm functions in alignment with its mission. His work supports a healing-centered environment where community, sustainability, and transformation take root.
Amy Gardner is a trauma-informed educator and healing practitioner who integrates mindfulness, movement, compassion, and nature to support deep restoration. With over 20 years of experience guiding individuals back to their innate wholeness, she brings a grounded, heart-led presence to Unfragile Farm. Amy’s work invites embodied practices that honor the wisdom of the body and the quiet strength of awareness—both individually and in community. Rooted in a belief that healing is a co-creative journey, she fosters spaces of safety, belonging, and transformation.
Tracy Treacy is a holistic therapist and trauma-resolution specialist with over 30 years of experience integrating somatic healing, energy work, yoga, and mindfulness into trauma recovery. At Unfragile Farm, she leads mind-body integration programs that support healing, self-awareness, and inner resilience. As a primary architect of the Journey Within program, Tracy works in close partnership with Alphonso and Terri to design and guide transformative experiences for individuals reclaiming their lives after trauma.
